Hey, I’m Kaela – mum to our little pocket rocket Lulu Rose, wife to Desmond, and the slightly sleep-deprived dreamer behind Cali Lu the Label.

Our little family has always loved to travel – those salty-haired beach days, long dinners under fairy lights, running through airports with far too much luggage… it’s our happy place. So when Lulu came along, I wanted clothes for her that felt just as fun and free, but still had that touch of luxe you’d pack for a family holiday. Pieces that could be worn for an ice-cream run in Bali, a wedding in Perth, or simply running wild at the local park.

That’s how Cali Lu was born - a label inspired by sunshine, adventure, and the magic of seeing the world through our kids’ eyes. Everything is designed with love (and let’s be real, usually a coffee in one hand and a toddler tugging on the other).

This business means so much more than clothes to us, it’s our family’s big leap, a way of showing Lulu that dreams are worth chasing, and a chance to sprinkle a bit of that holiday feeling into everyday life for other families too.

We’re a small family label, so when you support Cali Lu, you’re not just buying an outfit - you’re helping us keep the dream alive, teaching Lulu about grit and creativity.
